  1. Run the installer from Software Center
  2. For Printer ask the user if using the Zebra or Datamax (Most should require the Zebra and the printer may already be installed)

This error means BarTender has detected significant hardware changes, such as a new motherboard or Windows update, that have invalidated your license. To fix it, you can deactivate and reactivate the license through the BarTender Administration Console. If that doesn't work, you may need to restart the BarTender Licensing Service in Windows Services or repair/reinstall the application

Step 1: Deactivate and reactivate the license *** Step 1 should do the trick ***

  1. Open the BarTender Administration Console.

  2. Navigate to Licensing > License Setup.

  3. Click the gear icon and select Deactivate License, then follow the wizard.

  4. Once deactivated, click Activate License at the top of the Licensing tab.

  5. Enter your product key code and follow the prompts to reactivate your license.

Step 2: Restart the BarTender Licensing Service

  1. Open Services in Windows by typing "Services" into the Windows Search bar.

  2. Find the "BarTender Licensing Service".

  3. Right-click it and select Restart

Step 3: Repair or reinstall BarTender

  1. If the issue persists, you can repair the BarTender application through Windows Control Panel.

  2. If a repair isn't successful, you may need to uninstall BarTender completely from Control Panel and then reinstall it.

Step 4: Contact support

  • If these steps don't resolve the issue, a significant hardware change may require contacting Seagull Scientific Support for assistance.

  • Have your BarTender Support Number ready when you contact them.
