Install client can be found at this location- \\dfw-netapp1\Group\IT\EBY VPN Client\
Copy the installer to the user’s computer under C:\Users\Public\Downloads\setup-x64\ and “Run as Administrator” to install it.
Once the client is installed there should be an icon on the desktop for “FortiClient VPN”
Open up the client and hit “I accept”
When adding a new VPN connection, put in the below configuration
Connection Name: Eby Corp Main
Remote Gateway: 50.201.21.250
Customized Port: 10443
Make sure the username is correct (username and password are both case sensitive).
Usually PFG creates the account with the username all lower case.
Example:
-vsantos
-hkim
This pop up will appear when FortiClient VPN is successfully connected.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If user gets "Unable to establish the VPN connection. The VPN server may be unreachable" error when connecting to Forticlient VPN
User needs to be off the Core-Mark network and connect to Hot spot of a different network to connect to FortiClient VPN.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If user gets "Credential or SSLVPN configuration is wrong. (-7200)" error when connecting to Forticlient VPN
So I was looking into this a bit more on google, forums, YouTube and also FortiNet websites and this is what I found.
Google Search- forticlient vpn error 7200 uid=9312bd25ba2949b2b530be2c4077e7a8
Is Hanjin using the correct (case sensitive username and password)? Is his username supposed to be Hkim? Or HKIM or hkim? Or HKim?
This error that Hanjin is receiving below is “Credential or SSLVPN configuration is wrong. (-7200) is pointing more towards “wrong credentials”. I don’t believe it is something on the Core-Mark side that we can troubleshoot and perhaps his credentials for FortiClient needs to be reset or be corrected.
This is the error log that Hanjin sent for FortiClient. I’m going to point to the highlighted in yellow and bold- eventtype=error level=error uid=9312BD25BA2949B2B530BE2C4077E7A8
The articles I found related to that error code and ID was related to wrong authentication.
