How to Map a Network Drive Using Alternate Credentials 

Audience: PFG End Users 
System: Windows 10 / Windows 11 
Business Unit: PFG Core-Mark 
Classification: Internal Use Only 

Shape 

Before You Begin 

  • You must be connected to the PFG network or VPN 

  • You must have valid COREMARK credentials 

  • You must have access to the shared drive

Step-by-Step Instructions 

Step 1: Open File Explorer 

  • Click the File Explorer icon 
    OR press Windows + E

Step 2: Select This PC 

  • Click This PC from the left menu 

Shape 

Step 3: Map the Network Drive 

  1. Click the Computer tab 

  1. Select Map network drive

Step 4: Choose a Drive Letter 

  • Select an available drive letter (example: S:) 

Shape 

Step 5: Enter the Network Path 

\\ServerName\SharedFolder 

 

Step 6: Use Other Credentials 

  • Check Use other credentials 

  • Click Finish 

 

Step 7: Enter Credentials 

  • Username: 

COREMARK\username 

  • Password: Your network password 

  • Click OK 

 

Step 8: Verify Access 

  • Open This PC 

  • Confirm the drive appears and opens successfully
